Young People and Recovery

A federal Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs is holding listening sessions around the country to develop federal youth policy. This is an important opportunity to educate federal agencies about policies to support young people seeking and in recovery.

The Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs, a collaborative of 12 federal agencies, is hosting a series of listening sessions around the country to gather input to inform the development of an overarching strategic plan for federal youth policy.  We want to hear from stakeholders at the state and local levels, including:

  • Youth and families
  • Practitioners
  • Researchers
  • Policy makers
  • State and local affiliates of youth serving organizations

This is your opportunity to share your perspective on how to improve youth outcomes, including ideas for improving the coordination, effectiveness, and efficiency of youth programs and policies.  The focus of this session will be on:

  • Youth enrichment
  • Youth engagement
  • Youth mentoring
  • Positive Youth Development

We look forward to hearing your ideas in this interactive listening session, which will be held on May 4th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Please RSVP as you must be preregistered to attend.

If you are unable to attend, we invite you to share your ideas through our website in the strategic planning box.
